Grey Squirrel; (Sciurus carolinensis)

  • Was introduced from North America around 1876 to Henbury Park in England and was shortly sort after game in 1884 and has thrived ever since reducing the Red Squirrel dramatically around the UK.

  • Gestation period is around 6 weeks and will produce 2 – 4 young.

  • Grey squirrel breed twice a year on average and become pests in loft spaces.

  • General method of control is by means of spring trap and shooting with the use of air rifle on private land.
